Wow one day? I saw your works on facebook and was stunned, forgot to fav them here cause the deviation box is overloaded everytime and didn't see the new submissions. But seeing it again amazes me again. Love your creature designs! Is it with ballpoint? I like to draw with ballpoint but I don't like the fact I can't fix mistakes which others probably don't even notice but somehow it makes me stop to go on....

Thanks man!! Yep, one a day. Tall task, but so far so good. It helps being up against a deadline. And yep, these are just with a normal pen....getting back to my roots a little :) I know what you mean about the mistakes, but if I ever mess something up I'll usually just make it a wart or a tentacle or something ;) I think knowing there's no way to fix things helps me be a little more creative. Anytime I try pencils I just wind up erasing every three seconds.

I'll hopefully have some time to get some painting done on some pieces this month to throw in the mix. Thanks again for the kind words :D

Deadlines help indeed :) That's a good solution. Sometimes ballpoint creates stains and stuff. But I like the effect of ink only not good in shading it works so differently like pencil.

I guess so and it doesn't take so long. I erased a lot even things you only see under a microscope

You're welcome!!

This is gross beyond words, yet I'm quite drawn to it. lol

I don't think I'll be eating spaghetti anytime soon though....

I hope you get to draw a picture a day. That's quite a challenge. I look forward to more!

Not exactly a contest, just a forum to encourage people to draw everyday in February...should be a good time. It's on satellitesoda.com. Enjoy :)

Ohh, this is so mean! Cool to see you taking it back to basics with a simple drawing in B/W, they do have their charm! I really think this is cool, and it's also of course - really YOU. The eating oneself idea is really well carried out - it looks so scary, yet I feel it something we can all relate to a little bit, the things we sacrifice in our lives, when we give up a little piece of ourselves to be something we're not ...
As you can hear, also a thought-provoking piece! That is always really great!
I haven't heard of Satellite Soda - is it a contest of some kind?

Oohh thank you so much!!! It's been a long, long time since I've posted something in just black and white on here. I've been posting pen sketches over on Facebook, but it felt good to work on something in pen again. I'm glad to hear it caused such a reaction - I wasn't expecting that :D

And Satellite Soda is an artist forum. Not really a contest, but just something where they're looking for people to draw everyday in February...figured it would be a great way to force myself to draw/paint as much as possible ;)

Yes, it has! Sometimes one forgets how much effect it can actually have, right? :D I hope you got plenty more reactions than mine! It sure deserves it :D
Oh, that is smart with Satellite! Not that you are usually a lazy artist! But it's a fun idea to really get something done! :D

It has been really fun so far! I like the idea of working against a deadline, it's really helped with speeding up the process....now I just have to make sure I can keep it going for the rest of the month :D
